We re-read the official source several times a day and republish what it says about this station. The feed is the public Osservaprezzi dataset (carburanti.mise.gov.it), also redistributed through dati.gov.it.

Because in this market (Italien) each operator sets its own pump price. The tax on a litre is the same for everyone, so what is left to differ is the wholesale price the site paid, its costs and its volume, the brand, and how much competition there is within driving distance. The price card measures both gaps for you: one against the average of the stations around this one, the other against the average of every station we track in this market.

Entries exist only for the moments when the price changed. If you switch the page to euro or dollar, every historical point is converted with the exchange rate of its own day, not with today’s rate.
