We re-read the official source several times a day and republish what it says about this station. We do not set prices and we do not read them at the pump: station by station, we republish what that source publishes. The feed is the public geoportalgasolineras dataset (geoportalgasolineras.es), also redistributed through datos.gob.es.

How do I read the colours on the map?
The map colours every station by the price of a single fuel, SP95 here, so that the comparison is like for like. Because in this market (Espagne) each operator sets its own pump price. The tax on a litre is the same for everyone, so what is left to differ is the wholesale price the site paid, its costs and its volume, the brand, and how much competition there is within driving distance. The price card measures both gaps for you: one against the average of the stations around this one, the other against the average of every station we track in this market.
