Every forecourt in the Fuel Finder data — the statutory register that all UK retailers must file. 5 662 stations across 105 counties and areas. The nation of a forecourt comes from its county where we can name the town, otherwise from its postcode area.
They are all on the map and on their own pages. These lists group forecourts by town, and about a quarter of the addresses in the feed end in a street, a postcode or a motorway junction instead of a town name. Rather than print those as if they were places, we leave them out of the lists.
Because the UK counts itself differently. England is divided into ceremonial counties, Wales into principal areas, Scotland into council areas, and Northern Ireland still uses its six traditional counties. One word would have been wrong for three of the four.
Every price comes from Fuel Finder — UK Competition and Markets Authority. We fetch it again several times a day; the last price change was 8h 41min ago.
