How these guides work

  1. Return point first. The terminal of your flight is not always where the car goes back. Each guide lists the documented return points: terminal car parks and off-site depots.
  2. Then your fuel. The first stop is the documented one on your way in where we have a source, otherwise the airport-area station or the nearest one with a current price. A cheaper station and the nearest 24-hour pumps are shown next to it, each with directions.
  3. Honest prices. Prices come from official open data (Spain’s Ministry for Ecological Transition, the French government). Every price shows its own date; old or doubtful prices stay visible but are not recommended.
  4. No invented routes. Distances are by road to an approximate return-point pin (© OpenStreetMap contributors, routed with OSRM; no traffic). “On the way” is used only where a source documents it; elsewhere the first stop is the airport-area station or the nearest one, labelled “route not verified”. Stations known to be on the exit side or with restricted access are marked and left out of the recommendations.

Why not just a map app?

A map app knows the nearest pump

It does not know which car park your company uses, that one airport station sits on the exit road, or that another is next to the taxi rank.
