Every price here comes from Osservaprezzi Carburanti — MIMIT. The ministry publishes one file a day, each morning, with the prices in force at 8:00 the previous day; we load it as soon as it appears and show when each station last reported — the most recent refresh was 3h 25min ago.
Because an average hides the spread. Right now the cheapest diesel in Italy is €1.719 and the most expensive is €2.899 — a gap of €1.180 per litre, which is real money on a full tank.
