The vignette for a ski week
Austria, Czechia, Slovakia and Hungary sell a 10-day vignette: it covers a Saturday-to-Saturday ski week there and back. Slovenia sells 7 days; Switzerland only the annual vignette (CHF 40).

Fill up where it is cheap
Fuel prices differ by up to 50 cents a litre between the countries on these routes. Each route page lists them in driving order and says where a 50 L fill-up saves the most.
Winter equipment
Austria (1 Nov–15 Apr), France (1 Nov–31 Mar, in signposted mountain areas), Italy (15 Nov–15 Apr, on signposted roads), Slovenia (15 Nov–15 Mar) and Czechia (1 Nov–31 Mar) require winter equipment under the conditions set by law; Germany whenever the road is wintry.
