Tomorrow's official maximum price in Belgium and Luxembourg

Both countries cap the price of heating oil by law: suppliers may sell cheaper, never dearer. Belgium publishes in the afternoon the maximum valid from the next day; Luxembourg changes its maximum when the market moves.

How we built this page

• EU Weekly Oil Bulletin (European Commission, DG ENER): heating gas oil, national average consumer prices with and without taxes, weekly since 3 January 2005, converted to euro by the Commission. Latest bulletin: prices of 12.10.2026.
• Belgium: official maximum prices of petroleum products set by the FPS Economy and published by Statbel. Heating gasoil H0/H7 in three tiers (delivery under 2000 l, delivery of 2000 l or more, at the pump), incl. 21 % VAT. Each price applies from its date until the next published price.
• Luxembourg: official maximum prices (Ministry of the Economy), published by STATEC on the open data portal, series “Gasoil 10 ppm”, heating gasoil incl. VAT. The maximum applies to deliveries of 1500 l or more; for smaller deliveries the supplier may add a surcharge (Luxembourg oil industry association GPL, rules in force since 1 January 2014).
• When to buy: monthly mean of the weekly bulletin prices with taxes, divided by the mean of the same calendar year, 2016 to 2025, then averaged per month. It is a pattern from past years, not a forecast.
• Updated automatically: Belgium on working days after Statbel publishes, Luxembourg when STATEC publishes a new maximum, the EU bulletin every week. Last update: 20.10.2026. Delivery costs, regional differences and supplier discounts are not included.
• Statbel data: converted from euro per litre to euro per 1000 litres and shown in charts and in the calculator; the values are otherwise unchanged.
