Sweden has no motorway tolls and no vignette for cars. Cameras charge a small bridge fee on the Sundsvall Bridge (SEK 9), the Motala Bridge (SEK 5) and the Skuru Bridge (SEK 4), and a congestion tax on weekdays in Stockholm (SEK 11-45 per passage) and Gothenburg (SEK 9-22). The Øresund Bridge to Denmark has its own toll station (SEK 690 one way); the Svinesund Bridge to Norway has been free since 2021.
The official channel is Transportstyrelsen (transportstyrelsen.se). There are no toll booths on Swedish roads: a camera reads the number plate and the owner is invoiced afterwards. For foreign-registered cars the congestion tax is invoiced via EPASS24 on behalf of the Swedish Transport Agency. Buying from official operator sites avoids reseller markups.
Individual tolls in Sweden range from €0.35 to €61.12. Add up the tolls you will actually use from the prices on this page; the road trip calculator at fuel-prices.eu/calculator/ adds the fuel cost per country.
Add up the toll gates, tunnels and bridges you will use from the prices on this page. On fuel-prices.eu/tolls/ tick the countries of your trip to see which vignettes you need, and the road trip calculator at fuel-prices.eu/calculator/ adds the fuel cost for the kilometres you drive in each country.
Sweden charges no motorway toll and sells no vignette for cars; a few bridges and the Stockholm and Gothenburg congestion zones are charged by camera. The 7 charging points listed on this page cost from €0.35 to €61.12 per passage for a standard passenger car. A per-passage toll is charged every time you cross, so a trip costs the sum of the points on your route — not a national average.
What is covered: 2 toll gates, 5 bridges.
