Austria vignette price

Austria charges a vignette for using motorways and expressways with a car up to 3.5 tonnes. It comes either as a sticker for the windscreen or as a digital vignette tied to the number plate; both cost the same and both are checked automatically by camera.

The prices above are the official rates for a car. A one-day vignette exists alongside the ten-day, two-month and annual versions, so a single transit costs far less than the annual price. Motorcycles pay a different, lower tariff.

The vignette does not cover everything. Several alpine routes — the Brenner motorway, the Tauern and Arlberg tunnels, the Grossglockner road — are tolled separately and are paid on top of the vignette. If your route crosses the Alps, check which of them you will actually use.
