Do I need a Rovinieta for the Transfăgărășan road?
Yes, the famous Transfăgărășan (DN7C) is a national road and requires a Rovinieta. It's one of the most scenic roads in Europe!
Can I pay in Euros at gas stations?
Some stations accept Euros, but you'll get a better rate paying in RON (Romanian Lei) or buying online. The official website shows prices in both currencies.
Is the Danube Bridge crossing included in the Rovinieta?
The Giurgiu-Ruse bridge (Friendship Bridge) has a separate toll of ~€6 for cars. This is paid at the bridge, not covered by the Rovinieta.
